Hadestown is a musical that reinterprets the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Orpheus, a talented and hopeful musician, falls in love with Eurydice, but she, facing harsh realities, is lured into the underworld by Hades, the god of the dead, who promises her security. Determined to save her, Orpheus journeys to the underworld, hoping to convince Hades to release Eurydice through the power of his music. Alongside their story, the musical also features Persephone, Hades' wife, who divides her time between the underworld and the Earth, reflecting the cycles of life and seasons.
